Dr. Harvey’s research is grounded in a constructive transdisciplinary approach that draws on history, epistemology, phenomenology, the history of religions, cultural anthropology, and critical theory. This approach interfaces with an array of issues related to the transmission of knowledge, meaning, and identity within Africana communities, while remaining sensitive to ongoing fundamental problems like translation.
